China delays distributed power trading pilot scheme – National Energy Administration
BEIJING:
* China has delayed the launch of a distributed power trading pilot scheme to July 1 at the latest from the scheduled Feb. 1, the National Energy Administration (NEA) said in a statement on Wednesday
* The delay will help “local authorities formulate solid plans and intensify preparation work” for the pilot scheme, the statement said
* In November, the NEA issued a statement giving details of the pilot scheme
* Distributed power trading aims to boost renewable power consumption as part of efforts to curb coal-fired power use and reduce carbon emissions
